CAMP PHILOSOPHY:
The Dairy Town Classic Committee is pleased to announce its 20th annual basketball camp. This year's camp is being subsidized by the Dairy Town Classic Committee.
The camp is under the direction of Mr. Peter McAleenan, under the theme, "Practice Makes Perfect".  The camp will emphasize the basics of the game, including the following skills;  ball handling, passing, receiving passes, lay-ups, squaring up, set shots, free throws, shooting mechanics, defensive stance, on-the-ball, defensive footwork, offensive/defensive rebounding, outlet pass, 1 on 1 play, post play, 3 on 3, give and go, pick and roll, power lay-ups, jump shooting, 2 on 1 situations, 3 on 2 situations, fast break, deny and jump to the ball, as well as other skills with the high school group.

The Objectives of the Camp Will Be To:

  • Teach the campers as many skills as they can readily perform during this short period of time.
  • Provide game situations and game experience for each camper during their basketball development.
  • Give all campers an opportunity to interact with others, and to help build a stronger, positive self-esteem.
  • Develop a sense of fair play and sportsmanship in each camper.
